Goals
Guarantee the safety, quality and efficacy of drugs in circulation after they have been marketed by monitoring their side effects, capturing any new information related to the mechanism of action of these drugs, following the procedures related to the safety of medicines with reference pharmaceutical authorities and international organizations, in particular the World Health Organization, and prevent their appearance.
Tasks
Receive and monitor quality reports for incoming pharmaceutical products, evaluate them, then take appropriate action on them and try to prevent the occurrence of drug side effects, especially dangerous ones, or transfer them to the relevant authority for follow-up.
Follow the news of the authorities of the reference drug and international organizations, in particular the World Health Organization in this regard.
Issue appropriate recommendations concerning the safety of pharmaceutical products in circulation, through the recommendations of the Health Risks Committee attached to the Medicines Department.
Issue the appropriate decision regarding medications with side effects in proportion to the magnitude of the problem
